When asked how it all began, Director and manager of operations Chris Deguara will tell you, ‘too long to remember’,
“My dad was a traditional upholsterer working from home, sitting on the workbench seeing him work was my early training”.
First hand involvement usually involved stripping down old furniture getting it ready for the restoration process.
Not always easy but rewarding to see the original materials used in construction and how they have held up over the years.
One positive was the chance of finding a bit of extra pocket money that had fallen down the cracks, unfortunately the only common treasure was a pair scissors or nail file.
